01
The people who drink it
Students and staff with ten minutes between things. The drink has to be good, fast, and priced so it can be a habit, not a treat.
Mission
The drink is the excuse. The point is the two minutes at the cart, the walk to class with a cold can, the friend you meet there every Tuesday. We build the business around five groups of people and we do not trade any of them for a faster buck.
When we grow, we grow by repeating what already works, cart by cart, not by lowering the standard to make the numbers move.
Five pillars
01
Students and staff with ten minutes between things. The drink has to be good, fast, and priced so it can be a habit, not a treat.
02
Whoever is behind the cart is the brand that morning. They get trained properly, paid fairly, and trusted to run the show.
03
Roasters, can suppliers, the farm the oats come from. We pay on time, we do not squeeze, and we stick with people who stick with us.
04
A cart on a campus is a guest. We leave the spot cleaner than we found it and show up for the community around it, not just the customers in line.
05
Every decision gets checked against the next generation and the planet. Recyclable cans, no single-use cups, and choices we would be proud to explain in ten years.
Founder
Collin Crowdes started his first business at 15 in Durango, Colorado, and brought Halfnorth to Burlington when he came to UVM's Grossman School of Business. The cart is the first step. The goal is a model good enough to repeat on other campuses without changing what makes it work.
